Praise
Two children were playing in the sandbox
A nursery school teacher passed by
One alertly noticed a child
"Teacher, look at this"
He held out something in his palm
"Oh, you did a good job"
The child then made many more of the same
thing
Another nursery school teacher passed by
The other child hesitantly held out
something in her palm
She leaned in as if to smell
"What a delicious smell, what kind of
fruit is this?"
The child then made apples, peaches,
melons, and various fruits
The shapes were similar
Praise
Encourages children's sensitivity, supports
them, and enjoys together
Praise
Draws out children's imagination,
creativity, and persistence
Encourages children's efforts, ambitions,
and attitudes
Help children express themselves freely,
eliminating anxieties of comparison
Help adults to seriously face themselves so
children can grow up feeling proud
Can't do it, haven't done it
That is
Adults just don't really know how to
"praise"
Adults have just lost the ability to feel
children's sensitivity
Rather than spouting such nonsense,
praising the results will help children grow
That misunderstanding will completely ruin
children's sensitivity
